Fireworks #2

Several multicolored bursts combine against the backdrop of the Edmonton skyline in this photo taken July 1, 1999. For those in the international audience, this is Canada Day, Canada's birthday, celebrated here by citizens gathering together in large groups and expressing their patriotism by watching stuff explode and cheering.

Gee, it sounds kind of weird when you explain it that way. It sure is fun though!
