Gas Station at Shackleton

This was an exceptionally warm evening for early September. I arrived here at about 1:30 AM and the old thermometer on the station wall said it was still 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Beautiful weather for a midnight road trip! I was perfectly comfortable in shorts, a T-shirt and sandals, cruising the deserted highways of southern Saskatchewan with the windows down.

The fact that this thermometer was calibrated in Fahrenheit might say something about this place. Canada converted to Metric way back in the early 1970's.
