The area surrounding these ruins is densely treed. Even inside many of the buildings the forest has begun to assert its claim to this place. The moon emerged briefly from behind clouds during this shot. If it were visible for the entire exposure, not only would it have overexposed terribly at these settings, its movement over several minutes would have produced an elongated streak of light rather than the relatively circular form you see here.
