Cemetery Hill, #2
Estuary, Saskatchewan

This is the oldest part of the cemetery. There are no clues left here about the age of grave sites. While scouting the location in daylight, an old timer who was driving by saw my van and pulled over to see if I was looking for anyone in particular. He told me that the town itself had a very short existence, beginning around 1914 and being finally being stripped of its village status in 1930. By the early 50's, the town was essentially dead. When I first explored here last year, Estuary wasn't even on my map. I found it by following directions. Since then I've acquired more suitable maps but it still only appears on the oldest and the most detailed.
