I
lucked out with this shot. The moon was fairly low in the sky when I arrived
and there was just a little bit of haze, producing a nice ring around the
moon. By jockeying my tripod around a bit, I was able to position the ring
so that it encircled the arch. The moon itself is hidden just behind the building.
Who needs Photoshop or darkroom tricks when with a little effort, real-life
effects like these are out there for the taking.
