Big Valley Roundhouse #2

The roundhouse was built in three sections, beginning in 1913 with the first five stalls, then followed in 1917 by the machine shop - boilerhouse annex where this photo was taken, and finally the last five stalls the following year. The facility was used very little after the 1920's and abandoned completely in 1948. The 1918 addition is no longer standing. It collapsed in the 1950's when a local farmer was using the structure for a hay shed.
