Photo #N6-1

Mist by Moonlight

I spotted this pond covered in mist while driving by at 2:30 in the morning. I didn't have my camera gear with me so I stopped by home to pick it up. When I returned it was after 3:00 AM. This photo was taken within five days of the summer solstice. Here at 53 degrees north of the equator, the light of day never completely disappears from the northern sky at this time of year. As I exposed this moonlit shot looking due south, the sky behind me to the north was illuminated with twilight.
